PCL Industrial Constructors Inc. was engaged as the general contractor for the execution of this fast-track project. Our involvement began by providing constructability input early in the engineering phase and shifted to the field construction program which began five months after the start of detailed design. Engineering and construction overlapped 12 months and construction progress was at 70 percent upon completion of engineering. The project involved the assembly/setting of 30 piperack/process modules, in excess of 300 pieces of equipment, 3,000 tonnes of steel erection, 220,000 diameter inches of pipe fabrication, installation of 9,300 pipe spools and 60,000 feet of electrical/instrument cable.
